The EGSW is for all levels of snowmanship. Whether you're a slalom medallist, an absolute beginner or a frostie frolicker - or even if you're just coming for the fun and parties - there is plenty to keep you occupied. For the skiers and boarders, if you are a beginner, or an unsteady intermediate we offer exclusively gay ski or boarding lessons, and don't worry you won't be alone - last year we had 15 different classes of various levels including 4 ski beginners and 2 snowboard beginners and 1 class that spent most of its time 'Off Piste' laWe also offer a free guiding service for the more experienced boarders and skiers running from Sunday through Thursday with our own gay guides. For non-skier's we have special pedestrian lift passes available so you can still get to enjoy the fun in the sun and all the lift-accessible bars and restaurants. Also, for the first time this year, we have a great option for those justing wanting to suck it and see - which , after all, is just how we all started. We've arranged for specialist ski clothing company, Traverse, to offer easy kit hire just so you can give it a go before committing and getting all your own kit and caboodle.
There are gyms and spas and saunas and pools which are all available in the resort. And, best of all, our guests (with a Skiers / Boarders Pass together with an Event Pass or with a Pedestrian Event Pass) get FREE access to the fantastic municipal outdoor pool, jaccussi and sauna . You can also pay for some pampering in the 5 star Chamois D’Or Hotel's Spa. As Alpe d'Huez has an average of 300 days of sunshine every year (and is one of the sunniest ski resorts in Europe) you'll find being outdoors a wondrous way to enjoy your favourite sporting pleasures.
Party-time begins each afternoon with our Apres Ski then continues through to 05.00 the following morning with music, cabaret, dance, dinners and discos. We know that many of you enjoy a stiff cocktail in convivial company. The resort also has fine dining restaurants, a multi-screen cinema and some very smart bars - all within skipping, skiing or staggering distance.
